Accessibility statement
We make an accessibility app, so our own website should be easy to use for everyone. This page explains what we aim for, how we test, what we know is not right yet, and how to reach us.

What we aim for
We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG is the standard published by the W3C. We have not had the site audited by an outside firm yet, so this statement describes our own testing. If we do, we will publish the results here.
This statement covers the marketing website only. The Inclusely app inside Shopify admin is not released yet. It will have its own statement when it launches.
How we test
Automated checks
We run axe-core on every page before we publish a change. Each page is checked in light and dark mode, at a desktop width of 1440 pixels and a phone width of 390 pixels, against the WCAG 2.2 AA rules axe supports plus its best-practice rules.
Keyboard
We move through each page with only a keyboard: the skip link, the menu, every link and button, forms and their error messages. Focus must always be visible and never get stuck.
Screen readers
We test with VoiceOver on macOS in Safari and on iOS. We check headings, landmarks, link names, form labels and the messages that appear when a tool shows a result.
Zoom and reflow
We zoom pages to 400% and check that text reflows without sideways scrolling and that nothing overlaps or gets cut off.
Motion and transparency
With reduced motion on, scroll animations and smooth scrolling are turned off. With reduced transparency or increased contrast on, the frosted glass surfaces switch to solid backgrounds.
How the site is built
Pages are server-rendered HTML that works before any script loads. Text uses two web fonts, Satoshi and Newsreader, and resizes with your browser settings. Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall, and form labels sit above their fields.
Automated tools find only part of what WCAG covers, which is why we also test by hand. Passing our own checks does not mean the site is free of problems.
Known limitations
The live demo on the home page
The home page has a live scan demo. Inside it is a sample store page that has accessibility problems on purpose, so you can watch the scan find them. The sample is labelled as a demo, and it is left out of our own audits. Everything around it, including the scan button and the results, is held to the same standard as the rest of the site.
Glass effects
Some panels use a frosted glass look. When reduced transparency or increased contrast is on in your system settings, they switch to solid surfaces. Browsers that do not report those settings will show the glass, which we design to keep text contrast at AA.
The site is in English only for now. French pages for Canada are planned. If you need anything on this site in French or in another format, write to us and we will provide it.
Tell us about a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email [email protected]. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what happened. Mention the browser and any assistive technology you use if you are comfortable sharing it. You do not have to.
We aim to reply within 2 business days. If a fix will take longer, we will tell you what we are doing and give you the information you need in another way in the meantime.
